I used to prefer grilling chicken breasts, but in recent years I’ve come to appreciate the many benefits of chicken thighs.
Thighs are significantly harder to dry out than breasts because of their higher moisture content.
Flavor-wise, dark meat is superior to white meat. That’s why when given the choice between Air Fryer Chicken Thighs and Air Fryer Chicken Breast, Ben always goes for the thighs.
Thigh meat is a great source of protein and nutrients. Even though they have more fat than chicken breast (which makes them juicier and more flavorful), they are still a great, healthy source of protein.
Minerals and vitamin supplements. When compared to chicken breasts, chicken thighs have a more balanced nutritional profile.
One of my go-to answers to “HELP!” during the colder months is Baked Chicken Thighs. We’re starving!

Oil. To prevent the chicken from sticking to the grill, oil the grates before cooking.

What to Serve with Grilled Chicken Thighs:
Salad. Diced grilled chicken thighs are a great substitute for the chicken in this Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad. Try them with some Grilled Corn Salad for a tasty grilled meal.
Potatoes. Potato salad and grilled potatoes are staples at any barbecue, so don’t stray from the tried and true.
Rice. To complement your chicken, try some Lemon Rice.
Pasta. Grilled chicken thighs would go well with a pasta dish like Pasta Primavera or Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Herbs.
Veggies. Oven-roasted vegetables, roasted broccolini and grilled corn (a barbecue dream!) would go great with grilled chicken thighs.
Salsa, cooked from scratch, at home. If you want to make this Strawberry Chicken dish using grilled chicken, use chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts.
